The story behind Solid Ground Innovations
Sean — Founder & CEO
Originally from upstate New York, Sean always had a deep curiosity for computers. Growing up, he took pride in understanding the math and science concepts that most students struggled with — and even more pride in helping his classmates make sense of those same concepts in a way they could understand.
In 2014, he began a new chapter, moving to Washington, D.C. to attend Howard University. Four years later he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, and three years after that he earned a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering from George Mason University.
While pursuing his master's, Sean worked across the government contracting industry in a variety of roles — including Lead Software Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Lead DevOps Engineer. Like many people, March of 2020 reshaped his perspective on what it truly means to do good business.
Drawing on the successes and failures he witnessed inside the government contracting space, Sean set out to build his own IT company — one that puts the client first instead of the company's bottom line. Day by day, that company has grown into what is now known as Solid Ground Innovations.
